Chapter 358: Chapter 358: This Man’s Desire for Control!

Enna Clark rolled down the car window and looked back, only to see Baron Lawrence’s black Land Rover.
A lump formed in her throat!
An unspeakable discomfort!
Why did he follow her? Wasn’t he done beating up? Is he planning to cause a scene in the hospital too?
Enna didn’t know what Baron had misunderstood, but shouldn’t he at least ask her for an explanation, listen to her side of the story before acting?
Who starts off by beating people half to death?
Did he even care about her feelings, did he even consider Bobby? What if he had actually killed someone, what would he do? Go to jail or use his connections to hush it up? Even if he had the influence to suppress it, after causing such a scene, how could they move on in their lives?
She had always thought that after spending all this time together, they at least had some fundamental trust between them. Now it appears she was just deluding herself.
Baron Lawrence had never trusted her!
He only believed in what he had determined!
He had never changed, he was always that explosive, violent, ruthlessly stubborn maniac who never listened to reason!
Enna Clark rolled up the window and managed to make an ‘Okay’ sound to the driver.
The driver sense the heavy atmosphere in the car, and though originally he wanted to pry about what had happened, he simply shut up.
Shortly, the taxi stopped at the entrance of the Emergency Room at the hospital.
Enna handed the driver an extra 15 dollars as compensation for dirtying his floor mats, then helped Wyndham Howell towards the entrance to the Emergency Room.
Being a doctor at the City Hospital, Wyndham was quickly attended by familiar doctors and nurses who performed a series of checks. Enna accompanied him throughout, until a nurse pushed him into a room for an infusion. Only then did she go out, intending to buy some fruits and return.
No sooner had she stepped out of the Emergency Room than she ran into Baron Lawrence.
Enna Clark tightened her fist, contorted her face into a cold expression and tried to walk past him.
Her wrist was immediately grabbed.
“Why haven’t you treated the wound on your leg yet?”
Was this woman a fool? She had been at the hospital for over twenty minutes and she still hadn’t let a doctor dress her wound!
“Come with me.”
Enna struggled, firmly refusing to go with him and snapped at him, “Let go!”
Baron Lawrence had never seen her resist this much. It felt as if a knife was scraping across his heart causing a prickly pain. Apart from heartache, there was also a suffocating feeling of frustration.
He tightened his grip on Enna’s hand, stifling his frustration and said, “We need to talk.”
Without waiting for Enna’s consent, he pulled her out of the hospital…
In a corner of the garden corridor, he stood still, his thin lips tightly pressed into a straight line. It was as if he was squeezing out a question between his gritted teeth, “Why were you with Wyndham Howell?”
Enna was completely dumbfounded. She had not expected his idea of a talk to be a confrontation outside!
He was asking whether she had an inappropriate relationship with another man!
Her petite face instantly turned pale. There was a flicker of hurt in her eyes but now she was becoming more calm and obstinate, “Haven’t you beat him enough already? Does asking this even serve a purpose now? If I say we planned to meet on purpose, will you beat him up again in the hospital?”
His silence was tantamount to a slap on Enna’s face. She painstakingly enunciated every word, “Wyndham Howell and I being together was purely accidental. Our usual teacher fell sick and he filled in. Since we know each other, we walked a bit together. When you came to assault him, I was about to take a cab home.
“A substitute? So, the one who called you last night was indeed him.” Baron Lawrence’s voice turned cold.
Enna couldn’t believe her ears, “You went through my phone?”
