Chapter 44: The Fan Meeting
After seeing Helian Ze to the door, Jian Rushi felt tired, but she had to doll herself up before she went out to join Tang Ge.
At the sight of Jian Rushi’s dark circles, Tang Ge burst into laughter. “Did you go to someone’ house to steal something last night?” While saying that, she winked and made signs to Jian Rushi. In fact, they both knew what happened last night.
Jian Rushi pretended to be fierce by showing her teeth and said, “Watch out! I’m gonna bite you.”
“I’m so scared.”
They two made fun of each other and drove to A City.
Tang Ge rented a hall in a hotel for the fan meeting. Jian Rushi’s fans rushed here after getting the news. Although there were not many of them, they felt close to one another.
They got together without any rules and regulations to obey. They just sat together, chatting.
The fans were especially interested in Jian’s private life. With red faces, one by one they asked questions in high spirits.
One of Jian’s fans lifted her hand and asked, “Jian Rushi, why don’t you play in TV shows recently? I always look carefully for you when I watch TV series, but can’t find you.” She wore a pair of glasses and was simply dressed.
Jian Rushi didn’t feel embarrassed because she was not career-minded. She smiled and said, “It’s not convenient for me to shoot TV series recently. You won’t see me in the following months, but you can follow my micro-blog and I will chat with you.”
Although Jian was pregnant now, no one noticed it because her belly was not obviously bulging yet.
Mr. Helian seemed to run a very big company and was a very powerful man. If the news got about that they lived together, she would be regarded as a vain woman who leaned on a moneybag, though to some extent this was the truth.
They began to chat about Jian Rushi’s life and mentioned her rumored boyfriend.
As an unknown actress who always played corpse, Jian Rushi actually had a rumored boyfriend. He was a newest male idol whose name was Gu Mo.
He used to invite Jian to dinner. At that time, her public persona was a glutton. At the thought of that, Tang Ge was filled with bitterness.
When Jian Rushi and Tang Ge first entered the showbiz and was noticed by some people, they discussed for a long time. After all, every actress needed a public persona.
Tang Ge originally wanted to portray Jian Rushi as a talented woman, but even if she did that, Jian would easily give the game away because Jian got bad grades in college. What was more, she couldn’t play any instrument.
When she was in college, she did nothing but eat and drink. Mr. Helian didn’t have any hobbies, so she didn’t need to develop any hobbies to please him… In a word, she was a good-for-nothing.
On one occasion, Tang Ge covered her face in her hands and said helplessly, “Jian Rushi, if you can become famous one day, I will return to the capital and marry Lu Ziming.”
Thus it could be seen that Tang Ge was completely disgusted with Lu Ziming in those days.
At that time, they two had just left the capital and was busy with their career. When the name Lu Ziming escaped from Tang Ge’s lips, she seemed calm.
But in fact, she she was not as calm as she pretended to be because she remained silent for a long time.
Jian Rushi sensed the embarrassment of the atmosphere. An idea came up with a brainwave, and she said, “How about cultivating the image of a glutton for me?”
Tang Ge soon recovered from emotional pain and concentrated on her work. Anyway, Jian’s idea was good and novel at that time.
Tang Ge thought that Jian Rushi became enlightened and wanted to put her heart and soul into her career. But in fact, the real reason was that Jian liked and wanted to eat delicious food.
Gu Mo once courted Jian Rushi. It was easy to invite Jian to dinner, but when he said that he wanted to have a romance with her, she immediately escaped.
Go Mo and Jian Rushi knew each other on the set. At that time, a supporting actress liked Gu Mo very much. She had a grudge against Jian because Go Mo always followed Jian around every day.
Anyway, the story of Jian Rushi and Go Mo was a thing of the past.
